Chrome book time!

Today we spent some time on the chrome books logging in to a couple of websites we will be using quite a bit this year.

The first is a popular one with the students and most parents have also heard of Prodigy. This is a fun, interactive Math game that helps your child practice math skills. As a teacher I can go in and make the game focus on chosen math skills which is very helpful.

The second website we will be using you are probably not familiar with. It is a reading site that focuses on improving reading level as well as answering comprehension questions. It will automatically move your child to the next reading level as they show improvement. It is excellent for practicing read-a-loud skills at home as well as answering multiple choice questions. The articles are of high interest to the students and I can monitor their progress.

I hope you find these websites useful at home. Remember, sometimes multiple short bursts of practice are better than one long one. Keep things short and fun so no one becomes frustrated. 🙂
